Creating something handmade can be intimidating – even when it’s a project as simple as creating a couples note card. But with a little planning, you can put together a hand-made couples note card that is truly one of a kind.
To get started, visit your local crafts shop and buy card stock paper and matching envelopes. Then try your hand at one of these methods.
Collage Hand-Made Couples Note Cards. Go through old paper stock or magazines and find images and colors you like. Tear the paper into irregular, yet coordinating paper shapes. Arrange these paper shapes together over you card to create a collage. Once you’ve found an arrangement you like, glue the items in place. Trim the edges of the paper flush with the card. Need some extra zip? Add a few embellishments – glitter, text, you name it!
Vintage Photo Hand-Made Couples Note Cards. Why not use your hand-made couples note card to showcase an old photograph? Carefully scan your photo into a computer. Print it out, and then use a photocopier to transfer the image onto each of your hand-made couples note cards. Add a caption or message.
Mosaic Hand-Made Couples Note Cards. Browse through old magazines, newspapers and paper stock and find images and colors you like. Cut into different paper squares. Arrange the paper squares in a design on the blank card. Glue in place. To create a tiled look, leave 1/16-inch space between the paper squares. Add text if you wish.
